Moving from NZ to OZ for Scots Plumber
Advice needed.
My partner and I are working in NZ, he is a Plumber/Gas Fitter NZ registered and I am in clerical.
We are thinking after our 2 year work visa is up may be try and side step to work in OZ. Can anyone give any advice? How easy would it be or not.
Also does anyone know who much Plumbers/Gas Fitters get paid in either Perth or Brisbane?
Any advice would be appreciated.

Your NZ status gives you no special rights in Australia. You'd have to apply for migration to Australia (or find an employer to sponsor you for a work permit) - http://www.immi.gov.au
You may want to consider staying long enough in NZ to get PR and an indefinite returning resident visa, or even NZ citizenship, before thinking about leaving.
Even NZ PR gives no rights in Australia. NZ citizenship gives the right to live in Australia, but without full PR or citizenship rights - see http://www.nz-oz.gov.au
