Moving to Melbourne

Moving to Melbourne
I am hoping to move to Melbourne later on this year with my wife and two boys (8 and 2). We are initally going to a place called Hoppers crossing which is 25km west of Melbourne as that is where the wifes uncle lives (he is sponsoring us). Iwould be grateful if any of you wonderful people in this forum would have any info on this place.
