Moving to Mackay QLD or surrounds??
Hi All 
Is there anyone out there moving here (Mackay), or around here within the next month or so??. If there is I could have items you could buy as we are leaving Sept 7th and are selling up 
. All items are only 1 year or less old as we bought all new upon arrival last June. Also we havn't given the letting agent a definate date yet either and are renting a large 3 bed + granny flat + pool + aircon house at what I think is a good rate ($280 per week). It would be good for another expat to get in here
If anyone needs any advise or has any questions on Mackay and surrounding regions feel free to contact me, we will do our best to help.

Hi there,
I am moving to Mackay from Townsville tomorrow! Well at least looking for a house and staying in a motel till I do. I am starting a new job with the City Council on the 6th September. I was considering looking to buy, but I think it would be almost impossible to do this by September 6th? I think I will have to rent for sometime before I find a place to buy. So what are the best areas to look for houses? We have a small King Charles dog, so I think it has to be a house (not sure on the local laws though). Does your rental allow dogs? How come you are leaving? Any advise would be greatly appreciated as I was just about to start a Mackay thread! If I find somewhere in time before you go I would be very interested in buying sofas etc from you - are you going to have a yard sale soon?

We are planning on arriving the first week in NOV . That will be too late for your sales. I would be interested in a little more on what your plans are now, why you are leaving etc? Hope this is not too much but I would hate to think that Mackay is a bad choice!
