Moving to Gold Coast or Sunshine Coast

Moving to Gold Coast or Sunshine Coast
Hi all, I am looking for people who are moving to / or already living at the Gold Coast or Sunshine Coast. I have applied for a job with a firm and so far my application has been succesful and now the firm are just checking my references so I have my fingers and everything else crossed that I'll hear some good news soon.
Anyway, the firm have offices all over Queensland but I have told them I would prefer to work at the Gold Coast or Sunshine Coast. I would love to hear from people who are already there or planning to move there who can offer some useful advice about the places generally and then hopefully meet up on sunnier shores in the future. If I get the job I'll be moving out alone as my girlfriend has to stay here until April next year so I'll need to make some new friends quickly.
I'll post more as soon as I get news, one way or the other.

Love the Gold Coast - have been here just over a year, but haven't been to Sunshine Coast yet, so can't give an opinion on that. Michelle
