Hi, I'm Lindsey I'm 18 and moving to the Gold Coast with my mum, step dad and sister on October the 12th.


Just wondering if anyone can tell me about the nightlife on the Gold Coast??

Full of clubs and the night life is buzzing!

Everytime I visit my family in Melbourne I take a week out and go to the goldcoast. I luv it.

I spent my late teens on the Goldcoast, Nightlife is huge, You will find many pubs 'n' clubs in Certral Surfers Paradise, Cavill Avenue is where we used to go. But there a lot of great pubs and clubs in Broadbeach as well. You will never be short of somewhere to go. There are always promotions, cheap drinks etc. going on. They think if they can get the girls in then that will encourage the fellas. Like anywhere though, be careful, stick with your mates and if you leave a drink unattended, don't pick it up again. There were a few cases in the late 90's (when I was there) of girl's drinks being spiked, so you never know.

As others have said, you won't have any problem finding the night life on the Gold Coast.

Hi Lindsey,

There is loads of nightlife, you will love it here, if you contact "soapysbairn" (look in the meetups forum), she is brilliant at arranging meet ups with all the teenagers your age on the Gold Coast, and hopefully you will even make some friends before you arrive.

If I was a parent with an 18 year old daughter, I would choose to live as far from the Gold Coast as I could....... for that very nightlife reason.........

I suppose that make you feel better aswell

Oh god, that now has me thinking.... only another 5 years and I will be in that position, and we live 1 hour drive from Surfers Paradise !!
