Hi

Really interesting to read your thread. I have been offered a variety of GP posts in the central coast region. I am going to look at Toukley medical practice next week - before I sign any contracts! My family and I presently live in Windsor. We must get in touch

Would you please post on here about your visit?

As much as i agree that certain central coast areas are not up to scratch
or standards some would expect, certain social problems etc. But the same was said about Manly and bondi But you have to smell the coffee
its only a matter of time before the likes of woy woy Umina etc come good, there are lots of developers sitting on the fence playing a waiting game ,its just to
close to Sydney and with urban sprawl and close proximity to beaches and coast its got all the trappings. and in my experience lots of Poms:) as well

Hiya

Sorry its taken so long to write an update. I spent some time with 2 GP practices on the central coast. They were both excellent. The GP position was much better than I expected. However, we are still in England. We were hesitant about the school system and my husband s dad developed bone cancer. I can definitely recommend the Toukley medical practice and Waratah.

Hiya

I am not sure whether you got my email. I would love to hear all about your life on the central coast. I have told my partner that we have to go to Australia before we lose our chance! We sold our house and are renting. We are flying out with the kids on xmas night, to have a brief look with the kids. I will get hold of the agency again and see if they are still looking for GP's on the Central Coast. Thanks Sarah

He's an accountant, so ideally needs a job in the city, or a city of sorts....so preferable Newcastle or Sydney. We are expecting our first baby in March...and so will arrive in Australia with a small baby. We have not decided where we are going to live, but we need somewhere easily commutable to sydney for my husband and easily commutable for me to go to work. A Londoners We dont think we could cope with living in a small village/town. We have done our own research and so far Gosford seems the only big place in the central coast which is commutable to syndey - however a train to sydney from gosford is almost 2 hours!!!
does anyone have any advice re places to lie in the Central coast...big towns.
any one got any comments regarding the commute from Gosford to Sydney?
Or can anyone comment on job prospects for acountants within the central coast region so he doesnt have to commute?

Hi ,
I am a UK GP considering a job in Kanwall Med centre. Any suggestions will be appreciated .
I hope you are enjoying your job
