Hi i was born in australia in 1976 and have been in the uk since i was 3 i just took my austalian birth certificate to australia house in london got a australian passport and can now got to oz anytime i want with out a visa so you should have no problem as long as you have a australin birth certificate

If you have no or few family members or friends in Oz you may be in the same situation as many expats, in which case this forum does provide a lot of practical information as well as support to newbies. My partner returned to Oz after 17 years in the UK and he does not seem too traumatised. Likewise he moved to the UK 17 years after 20 years in Oz having left Britain when he was six moths old. He adapted pretty well, perhaps a bit more British than the British! Now that we are in Australia many assume that I am the one who grew up here and that my Aussie raised partner is the true Brit. :o

I'm going over there knowing no-one and I'll be going it alone! I came to britain when I was 10 and that was 26 years ago so its going to be a big wide world i'm stepping into.
