Default Moving To Austrailia

Hi I've just joined the forum and have a situation and I was wondering if members could help.

I am a British graduate who left university in 2009 with an MBA and Bsc in Molecular Biology thus far I have problems securing what I will refer to as meaningful employment. I have a year experience in marketing both digital and otherwise within the tourism sector (internship). This is in addition running my own dotcom business (I have programming skills in C++ Php and HTML ). With the economic situation dire as it is I was looking to go to Australia I have friends who live in Adelaide and willing to let me stay and a sponser to help financially. I checked on the Austrailian website that I maybe eligible for Skilled Migrant Visa.

So I was wondering if anyone could point me down the right path? I have just come to the conclusion that an educated is more appreciated in Aus? Any other advice would be much appreciated to...

Also are these Expos worth attending???

Cheers in advance

Expos are worthless generally.

Get looking on job sites. Look into a 1 year visa if your under 30..

Most people find expos a waste of time.

What occupation do you think you would qualify for a skilled migrant visas under? From what you have said, it doesn't look clear to me that you would qualify for it. A degree is rarely enough to qualify for emmigration, work experience is key.

WHV is an option assuming you are under 30, but in all probability you would need to return home after a year (or possibly two).

Awwww.... Dont be so down on expo's...

For us It was a fun day out .... it made the whole idea more concrete ...meeting australians ...live in the flesh... And it gave me hope that there were plenty of jobs for nurses at a time when funding and posts werre being slashed to the bone in my area..... Also met otherpoms who had done the same thing and were now recruiting to australia and heard their stories and met other wannabes who were going through the same process and had the same hopes and fears...

The interest shown by future employers gave me the confidence to go ahead with the whole thing... I got sponsorship for a PR no strings visa on the back of it....

And I came away with a WHOLE bag full of freebies for bedtime reading..... Bout everything under the sun....
