Moving to AU from US...transfers

Hi,

We are planning to move to Melbourne in august from Los Angeles. Has anyone moved from US to australia recently and if so how did you transfer funds? Also which moving companies did you use?

FWIW we are travelling by Air New Zealand as they came out to be cheapest (2K for 3 one way tickets), though they only allowed us 23KG per baggage even though the flight is from US.

Welcome. Life in Melbourne reminds me a lot of life in LA, I have a big love affair with both cities.

Ozforex should be able to help you with funds transfer.

I am suprised about the air NZ baggage allowance.
