Mould in Dishwasher

Have just unpacked the dishwasher from the big move. And it has a little mould inside it.

Has anyone had this, and if so how do you get rid of it?

Once clean is it then okay to use?

WARNING! This could be Australian mould. Don't touch it or it will have your finger off!............sorry couldn't resist.

Seriously, put it through a cycle with nothing in it, add half a cup of bleach. it will be just fine. :)

A tip for future shippers: Fridges, washing machines, dishwashers etc, put a few tea bags inside to prevent this and possible smells.

I use mine as infrequently as possible and it grows mould in a couple of days here anyway, so I wouldn't worry too much.

Cockroaches living in it, that's another matter :( (that was at the rental, not our own place)

I remember something about using vinegar. Perhaps this site might help http://www.cheap-and-easy-recipes.co...dishwasher.htm (and I'm sure there's dozens of others).

Bung it through a hot/long cycle with a cup of vinegar (or one of those expensive cleaners you can buy if your loaded) and she'll be good
