Motorcycle scene in Melbourne
I ride motorcycles, have for years. I have lived in Queensland for 2 years and rode a Blade up there and have lived in Melbourne for 1 year and ride a new suzuki gixxer. the biking scene in Australia is really different to where Im from. Hardly anyone waves or acknowledges when you ride by, people on sportbikes arent really into hanging out with new people or riding in groups. it seems biking, especially in melbourne is more for commuting purposes than for the sheer pleasure of riding. im a twisty road kind of guy so ride for the pleasure (and for the ease of parking). melbourne is a bike friendly city when it comes to parking and lane splitting but when it comes to trying to make friends with other riders it seems difficult. i dont know about non leather jackets, they seem really warm to me unless they are meshy and i only wear race leathers no matter what the temp (u get used to it). maybe Perth will be different, we will see when i get there.
