Motor mechanics

I'm moving to the Gold coast this year and was hoping there maybe some mechanics out there that could tell me how the wages, working conditions compare to the UK, and will i need a license?

Hubby is a mechanic for one of the biggest dealerships on the GC. The money is not brilliant but working conditions seem good. Each guy has his own bay in a huge air conditioned area. Has morning tea plus lunch and they happen

Comes home almost as clean as he left which makes a change. All the other guys seem really nice and helpful and the boss is a good bloke.

It's not what he really wants to do but is happy to keep working there until his dream job comes up
