Default The mother of all roast dinners

You know that horrible situation when you have loads of friends or family coming round for a roast dinner. You spend hours in preparation and at the end the whole thing hinges on the last few minutes. Timing is everything.

Thats how I feel at the moment with are imminent move to Australia. We have booked our flights for the 21st Oct but there are so many pots that we are waiting to come to the boil its untrue

1) We had the surveys done yesterday, our buyers have theres on Wednesday. These need to be fed back to the various parties before we can set an exchange date.
2) I need to finish work a week prior to leaving to finish things up though if there are any holdups we still need my salary coming in. Work have been very flexible which is nice
3) We can't book the packers until we get an exchange date
4) We can't book the hotels etc etc on the other side for our travel round Oz until we know for certain when were going.

God help me if there are any lumps in the gravy

I know just how you feel HUP... we are going through similar things here in Auckland... hubby starts work in Adleaide in December... the nextdoor neighbour wants to buy our house but his valuer has on on holiday..BLOODY NERVE!!...so none of us can make a move on the deal till he returns.. i have handed my notice in at work but hubby cant till we know exact date we are leaving NZ.
Can't book flights either.. but at least we are staying with friends in Sydney first so thats makes life a little easier..

You have my sympathy..its all ifs and buts!!!

A great analogy Hup.

It is a difficult situation. I had to go and see my Boss again today and explain to him that even though I said I was leaving in Dec I might not if the house all falls through! I haven't officially handed him my resignation and he is planning other things before there time really.

Lets just hope all these house buyers hold to their word.

Hang in there HUP! We were in the same boat but then the buyers exchanged... suddenly it all comes together and it's a mad scramble to get out the door. :scared:

Before exchange we were all over the place with chaos!
