I thought Brisbane was very ukish. Parts of the city are run down like st pauls in Bristol and then theres the stone in city centre giving it an old feel. Bloody one way systems are pretty similar too

This is quite a hard question to answer.
You will hear people say Melbourne is the most European city; (due to cultural reasons, not aesthetics) and that the free settler city of Adelaide looks English; but I think many cities in Australia have a part that looks English.
The E Melbourne hills look English.

Far as I'm concerned it's got to be Adelaide, it's got the weather, feel, atmosphere.
Mind you it's not as English as Christchurch, as in that city you can imagine that you are still in UK, IMHO.
