Mortgages for the Self Employed

Just to let you know the Commonwealth bank have just agreed to give us a $370,000 mortgage. (Got it in writing)

My Husband is self Employed (10 Weeks) all he needed to produce was a letter from the Company that he is subcontracting from confirming his hourly rate and the average number of hours he subcontracts per week.

Did not have to produce any accounts/cash flow forecasts or Accountants letters.

Wow great news! Did you have a large deposit? Only we will be in the same situation when we get there. Just wondered how difficult it would be to get a mortgage being self-employed. What trade is your hubby mines a Bricklayer.

Michelle :)
