Perhaps a posting of comparative UK prices would be nice. Or maybe that would just be adding fuel to the inherently unquencheable "Oz is cheaper than the UK"/"Oh no it's not" fire? After all, everybody's shopping basket is different. I never buy meat, for example, so it matters not to me whether it's 1/4 of the price in Oz, and I just have to trust SWMBO's comments on the matter. OTOH the prices of chocolate and dried beans are dear to my heart!

Just to be clear, that wasn't a snide swipe at you meat-eaters! Chacun à son goût.

Uncooked prawns to put on the BBQ or in the wok etc for those in the UK that are used to the little itty bitty pink things smothered in pink sauce that you get in a prawn cocktail .

Mark, I quite often get a block of cadburys for around $3, fear not, you'll be able to afford it .

At another local store:

Cadburys Dairy Milk, Caramello or Snack $1.99 for 150gm blocks

Freddo Frogs
and
Green Prawns
seem to confuse the non-locals

Wait till they get served Balmain Bugs for dinner !!
