Have a look at the weather for Auckland and weather for Brisbane

http://www.wunderground.com/global/stations/93119.html

I find them both humid and I hate humidity. Turns things green in the cupboard

Brisbane would suffer more from the humidity.

Auckland having coast on both sides has a nice breeze no matter which way the wind blows.

Always found Brisbane muggy but let that stop you moving there versus Auckland.

Apart from the weather I think it's an easy win for Auckland between the two.

Sydney or Melbourne are a completely different story though.

? You were saying how Perth was a boring place to be, Auckland makes Perth look like Las Vegas it's so boring. And the weather is just like England.

Brisbane can be humid during the 3 months of summer....bit it isn't the whole 3 months....just comes and goes. The rest of the year makes up for it with clear blue skies, dry and 20c in winter and usually awesome spring and autumn.

Not sure about Auckland....had no idea it could be humid....assumed it was always cold

I had a mate who was an ex-olympic kiwi triathlete who lived in Auckland, he spent three months working in Brisbane and said he could not believe the difference in humidity and how difficult it was for him to breathe when training. Those three months were from July to October

Those months can be extremely low humidity for Brisbane. A lot of people with bretahing issues, and skin problems, suffer then as the humidity can be as low as 10%.

Did he mean he had difficulty in breathing from high humidity in Brisbane or low?

I agree. Can't see why anyone would chose to live in Brisbane over Auckland.

July to October it couldn't be down to the high humidity - totally the wrong time of year, thats my point. You can go for weeks at the time of year with humidity below 30%. Not nice, very dehydrating, and equally hard to breathe, but for different reasons. .

We were in Brisbane a couple of years ago at the end of Jan/beginning of Feb and it was incredibly humid. We didn't experience any humidity in Auckland.
