More Free Money
Just looked at the Family Assistance web site to see when I'm going to get my free $600 (pre election bribe) and it turns out that is per child!!!
So next week I get $1800 for doing nothing and I'm not even eligible to vote yet! Crazy isn't it? |

Eligible families will receive $600 per child before 30 June 2004 and be entitled to a further $600 per child after the reconciliation of their 2003-04 entitlement. As a consequence most families will be eligible for an additional $1,200 per child in the next 12 months Family Assistance Web Site |
too bad Im only bringing 5 of my 7 kids over (at this stage). I think Ill retire on Oz govt handout when I get there.

Re: More Free Money
What?
I must look this one up! Remember take a look at child allowance & tax credits etc. Oz pay's more than the UK Bye Mark |
Definitely pays more than the US too. Call it what you will, but at least Australia understands that raising children isn't just a $30 a week tax break.

Re: More Free Money
Just looked up the link :) :) :)
Now thats one nice government. Anyone would think that they are trying to encourage you to have a family:scared: "Wife, forget the coco it's time to have triplets or more!" Bye Mark |
They are encouraging it. Australia. like a lot of developed nations, is becoming a land of greybeards.
"Ageing population" for the politically correct. |
