More expensive video games in Aus!
Seems many games are a lot more expensive here in australia than the UK
For example I want to pick up grand theft auto for the PC its just been released
UK price 24.46 (converts to $55.68 dollars)

So thats nearly double the price in australia ! Madness !

You need to shop around. I find BigW, Target & JB Hifi are cheaper than the games stores (and even more so when they have sales on). I paid $58 for the new Grand theft auto (PS3) in Big W and the same for Star Wars unleashed in Target. Little Big Planet is cheaper here too (I know this cause my mum has just bought it in the Uk to bring over as a Xmas pressie.

I also find the game stores are more expensive. Not impressed with EB games here.
Target always has the same games cheaper.

I'm a cheapskate - I always shop at Game or EB Games and go for pre-owned stuff 
I'd rather wait for a month or so than pay $100 for a new game

What about CDWOW.com. Games/CD's DVD's at UK prices and worldwide delivery free. I have always found them to be reliable.

It is extremly unfair how over priced these 'disks!' are here even though it probably cost them a buck to churn these coppies out! But the companies decide Australia wont notice that they choose to make us pay more. :curse:

Also we only get exrental dvds. Good value and no one in our family cares if the cellophane is there or not.

Buy 'em off-shore, because even if you do shop around, you'll still save yourself only about 10 bucks at the most.
There's several well regarded Asian online stores that I know of, where you can get perfectly legit PC games for a half/third of the price they are here.
