Anyone in the uk (midlands) seen the moon tonight..theres a big ring round it...can anyone explain ?

i have tried to take a pic, but it wont show up with my digital camera.....wish it would, its quite fantastic!

Thought you used to get ring around on very clear cold nights in England? Is it not because sky is clearer and moon is therefore brighter so the ring is the light bouncing off around moon making ring???
Can't prove this theory here as it is not very very cold here ever ever ever. Will have to wait for trip back to UK.... .

No dark ring around the moon here in northamptonshire. just soutbh of the midlands... Thankfully..
