Before using Montfort I suggest you use the search facility on the forum and read the previous threads.

used them for visa's and pension transfers we were on sub class 410 (retirement visa) my son is using them for skills and visa's, he is also finding them very good and they keep in touch we you have left the UK and put you in touch with financial advisers in Oz. So we have no complaints, maybe we got them on a good day.

Can I just ask how much it cost you to get Montfort to do the pension transferred? I've just started looking at having it done and I've looked at some other threads and been a bit horrified at the cost.

Many thanks

All I can say about Montfort is that one poster told me that they lost thousands of pounds with them - about 20 to be exact.

We didnt like their approach with us either. Phoning us, being quite aggressive with their sales approach and being quite unprofessional about other agents.

Personally, I wouldnt.

Will let you know can't remember exactly, off the top of my head, as I said we got a good service, they have different people who specialise in different fields - Tax (UK & Aus) pensions etc, although you do have to poke up with Geriant Davis who can be a real pain, if you ca't ignore him maybe go somewhere else.

We were very unhappy with the experience we had with them and found the dealings with our complaint very unprofessional.

Thanks for the feedback everyone, much appreciated!! I'm just putting together a list of possible firms - I should have done this a while ago but always found a good reason why not ...

Cheers

OMG Are they still going ? I thought that they would have been forced to close by now with the reputation they have. Would not go near them again with a barge pole
