Irrespective of who you use to change your money into A$ there will be costs. Most are built into the rate they give you.
Irrespective of the 'transparent' costs - just make sure you compare the total you will be getting in A$ for any given amount in £.
ie Company A will charge you £15 but you get say $150,000 for your £££'s
Company B will charge you £50 but you get say $151,000 for your £££'s
Company C will charge you £0 but you only get $149,000 for your £££'s
