mobile broadband - Darwin

Hello,

We are moving to Darwin in early October and although will initially not be in a long term rental will want internet as soon as possible to assist myself in job searching. As such have been looking at mobile broadband and dongles. My research seems to be showing that Virgin and Vodafone are largely unavailable in Darwin, Optus is an option but can be slow and Telstra is the best bet although probably also the most expensive. Can any expats in Darwin with mobile broadband confirm this?, is there any other operators to consider?

Thanks,
