mixed feelings

ahh expats what to do what to do! been waiting 3 weeks for a contract from a job offer which took 2 months to be offered and still no contract!!

been working in my first position for 10 months and now doubting my decision as i have so little experience in the uk. is it worth putting off for a year and going for another job in a year or so's time when i have proper experience to make it easier to return to the uk if i feel like it or just jump in and hope its the right thing to do (if i ever get a contract).

sorry - are you in the UK or Oz at the moment and is the contract to get you to Oz on a visa or have I missed the ship?

Three weeks may seem like ages to you but sadly at the operational end of a company this time can whizz past in a flash!

Patience is very hard when it feels like no-one's doing anything but hang in there!

Perhaps a nudge of a reminder to them? In a lighthearted, just wondering way :fingerscrossed:

I've not been involved with the job sponsorship before, but if the company hasn't registered as a business sponsor that can add extra time admin-wise...
think it's a three stage process;

Stage 1 - business becomes approved as a sponsor
Stage 2 - business posts a job to be filled
Stage 3 - Overseas applicant applies for the visa

I'm not sure what stage you're at but it often takes 3-4 months (so i'm told) for all of the above,

It's probably worth chasing them up to see. What is the job offer for?
(just being nosy!)

chase them up... if you have a friend with sky talk for their calls they'll get free australia calls - might be worth dropping a line as well
