hi lol&john
i had mine done going back some years and i was in and out the same day
it might be different for kids and nowadays but it is quite a simple op so try not to worry (i know easier said than done especially when your kids are involved)
i wish him (and you) all the luck in the world for the op

jan & gaz xx :)

Thanx jan & gaz,
I think he will feel better knowing he will be in and out the same day. The only thing he knows for sure is that he can't lift anything heavy or go swimming for at least two weeks.....Thanx again x Lol & John

I work in ENT theatres and it's a fairly minor operations, he'll have a very light anaesthetic and will not need an overnight stay.

As long as he's had nothing for 6 hours before his op and again as long as it's light. He'll be fine :)
