Default Mining For Gold in Perth

Hi There

I was told by my friend that Brits are moving to Perth to mine for Gold. Is this true? is there a gold rush in Western Austrailia? I would love to hear from anyone who knows people this has happened to. Is there a mining company you can contact....

Thanks Lou

I doubt they're doing much mining in Perth. In the Goldfields perhaps, but not Perth.

Me and my pal Lenny are getting our Miner's Rights and a couple of Minelab detectors. We're going to strike it rich!

Actually thinking about this, Boddington is reliably rumoured to be doubling in size and thats the biggest mine in Aus, if not southern hemisphere, I believe in terms of ounces produced.
Its only a short drive from Perth SE.

That's interesting, it's massive as it is, if a bit of a dog's breakfast.

More work for people like me!

Plenty of people still prospect for gold in WA (outside of Perth) although most of the gold is mined by massive international companies.

Are you really going to go looking for Gold? How long have you been there? I'm actually working for Shine TV and we are developing a programme about Brits Gold mining in Western Australia. I would love to have a chat to you about this if you are seriously going to have a go at it. Do you have number I could contact you on or would you be up for chatting on skype?
Lou

It's highly unlikely that Renth is going to pan for gold. From what I know of Renth his posts should be taken with a healthy dose of sodium chloride crystals.

Really, if you're working for a production company and looking for people to interview you should be posting in the media request section of the forum.

Hey, that's not fair, when I say I'm going to do something I do it. We're not planning to pan for gold but to use minelab metal detectors.

Hi, not really interested in being on TV, us prospectors are a notoriously secretive bunch.

I've got a divining rod for sale if you're interested.
