Migration under ENS
Hi
I'm considering emigrating to Australia with sponsorship from my employer. I'd be very grateful if anyone knows the answers to these question. - Can my wife work if we enter the country under ENS? - Have I the right to change jobs, i.e. so that I no longer work for my sponsoring company? - Is it any quicker to get a visa through ENS than independent skilled migration? I've read the immi.gov web site and down loaded the booklets but can't seem to find the answers to these questions. Thanks Dave |
Re: Migration under ENS
Hi Dave.
In answer to your questions: 1. Can you wife work? => Yes 2. Can you change jobs? => Yes, but most switched on employers will include a provision in your contract so that you will have to repay a sum of money if you leave them within the 3 years to which they have to commit under the ENS. 3. Is ENS quicker than general skilled migration? => Usually, yes. See this webpage for details of ENS processing times: http://www.immi.gov.au/allforms/emp-ens.htm Hope this helps. Re: Migration under ENS
Hi Dave
We have just got our PR through the ENS scheme. The new employer applied to be a sponsor 1st March and it was granted 11th April. We applied 14th May - Visa granted 5 July - so yes it is quicker!!! , So the whole process took just over 4 months, It would have been quicker but we were held up waiting for the police checks. Hope this helps. Ian and Vicki PS we fly 27th August |
