Re: from the midlands to Townsville
We are currently in the process of compiling our application, my first skills assessment has been rejected and is under appeal. My wife’s went in last week and we should hopefully have replies within the next 8 weeks.
My wife and I are from the Black Country originally and are looking to move to Wellington point or surrounding areas.

Hi Kerrie/Wayne,
We too are from the Midlands, in Sutton Coldfield, we had our visas granted 19 Aug, and are planning to be in Brisbane by the latest April next year, still so much to do here. We are in the process of selling our house and fingers crossed it should go quite quickly as most of the ones round by us have gone in a matter of weeks.
I regularly shop at the Merryhill centre!!! I know it well.
We are not too sure where exactly in Brissy we are heading for as yet, hubby had a quite a lot of responses from potential employees from Oz, from when he visited the London Expo a couple of months ago.
Sorry can't comment on Townsville, we have looked at it but still not sure where to go yet.
Good luck to you both

Hi Guys,
No we've never been to Brisbane, never even been to Oz, just selling up and going with fingers, toes and everything crossed!!!. Really getting nervous now as its getting a wee bit nearer.
We've got 2 kiddies 7 and 2, they are dying to go, my son keeps saying his suitcase is packed already!! (so long as we get a pool!!) just a tiny bit of a bribe by us!
It'd be great to keep in touch with you, you never know we could be neighbours!! :scared:
Bye for now, off to the fridge for a

Hi Kerrie/Wayne,
I´m not from Britain at all, so can´t swap any storries, but I moved to Townsville (from Germany) 5 months ago. It allready feels like I have been here for ages, love the place.
If you have any questions just send a pm or email and I´ll try to answer them. Can´t help about schools and teenagers though, sorry.
