Default Melbourne a X between Adelaide & Sydney?

I know.....it sounds like stupid question.

We are thinking of moving to Melbourne or Sydney.

However, when I was 21, I liver for 6mths in Sydney followed by 6 mths in Adelaide.

What I can say is the the friendliness in Adel was immediately noticeable and not so hectic...although I did feel isolated at times.

When I returned to Sydney it felt like home. I guess it was the BIG city feeling.

So would Melbourne be best desribed a cross between the 2?

If not....which 1 or 2 cities would it feel like?

Regards,
TC

Answer to 1: No
Answer to 2: Cross between Paris and Amsterdam but in OZ.

We visited Perth>Sydney>Melbourne>Adelaide>Perth. Its Perth for us!

Sydney and melbourne don't really compare, nor do Adelaide and Melbourne. Melbourne is yes a bigh City but nothing like Sydney, is friendlier and traffic is quite as bad. Melbourne has to be experienced to draw your own conclusions. I loved it and when I'm in Aus I'll be living close to it, but not in it!!

I would have to say Yes it is.Syd is to hectic where the Melb City is more open slower pace and a hell of a lot friendlier. It will depend on what u r looking for! If it's fast walking get out of my way style then Sydney is for u,But if your after "Damn just missed the tram,I'll just wait for the next one it will be fine" then Melb is the home your after.
But in the end it's up to where u fell more at home.
Take care Ben and Nat(Auspom)
