Yes it has been mentioned. These are great ways to lose your money. They will try and flog you an apartment for way more than it is worth. A member was ripped off by this type of scheme. Only yesterday there was a thread on this. The property industry in Australia is full of criminals and fraudsters.

I guessed they'd be a tad pushy, just thought it'd be good to go to to find out about purchasing property and also the Commonwealth bank will be there which'll be good for people wanting to open an account

Just had a look at the site. Melbourne southbank. There is massive oversupply of apartments there and because the locals won't touch the stuff they have to go and get gullible English people.

The banks don't care if it is a lemon because they will take a massive deposit.

I wouldn't have thought there'd be to many british takers of small apartments in the centre of the city.

They put it as a get rich scheme. Buy apartment now watch value rise by 20% a year and sell when built and tax deductions done. The problem is the prices are falling due to an oversupply.
