I find it quite amusing that the respondents site beaches as being where Brisbane exceeds Melbourne - we chose Melbourne over Brisbane primarily because of the ease of access to great beaches here, in Brisbane you have to drive 45 minutes to get to a really good beach.

On the Mercer quality of living ranking, I think Melbourne is placed at 18.

Or Vancouver for that matter, having the most inflated housing market in Canada if not the world, noted for rather pompous people, rainy weather,largest Chinese Community in the world, Loads of homeless on the streets, high number of drug dependent folk and rather low paid jobs considering the high costs of living there.
Conclusions of the survey year after year are nothing short of hilarious.

The results seem to make little sense but for a country like Australia especially that is very sensitive to how it is seen overseas it is pounced upon and used as a badge of honour.
I'm not quite sure why 'largest Chinese Community in the world' is in a list of negatives though ?
