Right folks, here's what happened in the great BE's Melbourne Cup sweep.
4 horses didn't have jockeys.
Here's the jockeys for numbers taken after I was offline:
6 = Leica Falcon = seang
22 = Eye Popper = Tricky Tree
24 = Mr Celebrity = Vanessa
21 = Strasbourg = bridiej
8 = Greys Inn = diddy
20 = Vouvray = Bordy
18 = Kindjhal = lady with a torch
19 = Kamsky = steve99
and .......................................
5 = MAKYBE DIVA = RENTH !!!
Unfortunately the second placed horse On a Jeune was 10 on my list and the third placed horse Xcellent was 8 on my list so they both didn't have jockeys.
Renth therefore wins the 'virtual coconuts'.

I taped it from 'At the Races' channel and watched it this morning. I must say it ranks up there as one of the greatest things to happen in sport, anywhere. The British commentators were trying to draw a parallel and concluded that even Lance Armstrong's TdeF wins after battling cancer would struggle to match the achievement. The reception after the race was absolutely unbelievable.

OK... i know i'm pretty much on global ignore these days, but could you please tell me what horse i had.. i picked 9 and you didnt say what it was.
As for the real betting, i was bitterly peed off as i had a trifecta.. mackybe diva, xcellent and......... bloody leica falcon who got pipped into 4th!!!!! geeez i'd have been in the money alright
