Melbourne areas

Does anyone live in or around Devon Meadows, Clyde, Pearcedale, Tooradin, Tyabb. (all about an hour away from Melbourne).

We're looking for semi rural area with properties on 1-5 acres where we can have our 4 dogs. The areas look lovely on google earth

Any comments welcome please...................

In my opinion the nicest semi-rural areas outside Melbourne are in the Dandelong moutains, maybe around Diamond creek or ST. Andrews area , a house with a few acres is afforable and nice countryside, about 40 minutes from Melbourne. maybe check out www.realestate.com.au
l don't know much about the areas you mentioned see what other people have to say, but it looks good on the internet.

We live in St Andrews and love it. We got a mudbrick place on nearly 4 acres of bush and the crest of a hill, pretty awesome. It takes me 10 minutes to drive to Hurstbridge station (end of the line) and from there about 55 minutes into Melbourne CBD. Once youve done it a few times its a peice of cake and the contrast from working in the city and coming home to the country is
great. Kangeroos regulary come right up to the front door. Check out

Yeah, at the bottom of the small hill we live ontop. We've even got our own path from our garden that leads directly to it, about 200m or so :) Handy for the pub ;)

Does the market happen year-round? Apart from the pub (any real ales there?) could you advise anything else we could do in and around the area with a 4 & 5 year old? I fancy a day-trip!

Thanks

Rachel
