Hi, I am looking for an apartment/house with budget of $A300-600K. Does anyone know which suburbs in Melbourne that is safe, good amenities and has high Chinese population? Thank you!

OK, I rephrase the question: $3-6 million for a house in Doncaster? Are you sure?
A quick search on realestate.com.au for 5-bedroom or larger gives me $759,000 as the most expensive at the moment.
Templestowe has some mansions for sale but I think the OP is probably looking for an average kinda house/apartment

Keep transport links (public and private vehicle) in mind.
All areas are relatively safe with good amenities and easily accessible to good yum cha.

There are other factors to look at when settling, the foremost being where you are likely to be working.

Thank you all. I looked up realestate.com.au and find that both Box Hill and Templestowe are pretty affordable. And 15km to the city is alright. One more question: How's the property market doing in Melbourne compared to Sydney? I know that the prices in Syd have come down a bit
