Meeting people in Newcastle, NSW
Hello,
I moved to Newcastle at the start of April this year to be with my boyfriend and we applied for the partner visa. I'm on an extension of a tourist visa so therefore I have the same rights as a tourist which means I can't work so I'm finding it hard to meet people. It would be great to meet people in the same situation as me as it can get quite lonely/boring while my boyfriend is working!
So if there's anyone in a similar situation to me or just anyone who wants to make friends in the Newcastle area please contact me

Hi Emily
Not in the same situation as you but do live in Newcastle! There is a facebook group called expats in the Hunter where I have meet quite a few nice people! There is a group of us that meet for coffee/drinks etc semi regularly (mainly girls but we occasionally let the boys join us!).
I am happy to meet up with you if you like, but I do work mon-fri so may not help with your boredom much!
