meet up xmas week?
Any meet ups in Cairns xmas week or between xmas and new year?
We're driving up from Canberra so we will be in need of some refreshment with some fellow brits!

How lovely - have a safe flight. Will get in touch nearer xmas and arrange something - give you time to get yourselves sorted. Just think - your flight from UK is shorter than our drive up there! Take care x

Oh god no - not gonna meet you then!!!! You sound right up our street! We're from the north west - the lake district to me and you! Can't wait - not had a decent night out since moving here in April - well apart from a few in Sept when we were in Cairns last! December can't come soon enough!

We have rented a house from 22nd Dec - 2nd Jan - sooooooooo looking forward to letting our hair down in sunny Cairns - we just love it up there!
Bet you are flying up like civilised folk! We are driving up as we are taking our dogs with us (don't ask) so we are settling off early hours on the Sat morning and arriving (hopefully) sometime Mon! Will need a few drinks after doing that slog I can tell you!

Well i take my hat orf to yas doing the journey by car through this country.It takes me all my patience to drive the 40ks to work each day :curse: Looking forward to it already 
Nearly 9 years since we were last in Cairns on holiday ! (and yes we're doing the boring thing by flying)

I know - it's gonna be a huge drive but our soft mutts (well one of them - the big tough staffy) freaks when he goes in kennels and has managed to date to lose 3 of his front teeth since we got here in April! He's the softest lump of lard you will ever meet and goes crazy when we leave him there so hence the drive! His vet bill last time we went to Cairns cost more than the holiday itself! Think the metal bars remind him of his crate coming over from the UK - he managed to chew his way out of two of those too! It's no wonder we drink!!!
