Not the end - might mean more money to fork out on specialist tests/reports.

No doubt they will get back to you with a letter outlining their requirements - if they have any!

Was it really that high? Did your panel doctor not allow for the fact you might have been tense due to having medical check?

What did he say? Is he still putting your details forward? - if so, just wait for the LCU to get back to you.

We are in the state of waiting for specialist reports but for pre-existing medical condition.

Good luck

Don't worry. I'm significantly overweight and have therefore higher blood pressure. I got the visa 2 weeks ago.

You'll be fine.

Cheers,
Emil

Don't stress I found out at the Meds that I had high BP and had to see a cardiologist. I'm also overweight but we got our visas 2 weeks ago.

You will be fine

Are you sure it wasn't "white coat" high blood pressure, where the nerves of seeing a doctor and doing meds, drives your pressure up?

Take it when you are relaxed .... don't know if there are machines in chemist shops the way there are here in the US.... but anywhere away from the doctor's.

Also, avoiding all caffeine can really bring blood pressure down.

If you have it you do need to treat it but it's usually a matter of chucking back a tablet a day.

SEXEST ALERT!!!!!!!!! Paula naughty girl - where did it say that the doctor was male?

OP - in a nutshell.....lose some weight (even just 5 lbs), reduce the alcohol, eat more greens, do more exercise (even if just walking around the block each night), cut out ALL caffeine....there've been loads of posts: hypertension is not a problem when it comes to immigration.

....but it is a problem if you really have high blood pressure.

I assume you will be fairly young if you are applying for any visa other than retirement or parent visa.

If so then you need treatment as it could kill you eventually.

Think beyond your visa and the medicals and think of your general health.

Get it checked properly and get treatment if necessary.

Hi,

I bought one of those BP monitors and it was the worse thing that I could have done all I did was panic one minute it was fine the next it was up. Hubby finally threw it in the bin. Get your blood pressure treated and you will be fine. It is not the end of the road trust me my blood pressure is high and i am a fat cow as well.
