meds dr million,tb !!
hi folks just got back from our meds today, got them done in manchester with dr million, what a laugh what a nice man,he put us all at ease and i would recomend him,the cost was good as well 2 adults and a 15 year old total £560,thats for an extra blood test for the tatoo, the only snag is because i had tb when i was 4 !! ive got to get a specialist report done,dr million said knowing the way they operate they would just send the meds back and ask for the extra report,so guess wahat more money,im sure its a conspiracy wifes a touch worried but im trying to reassure her, anybody had any probs with theirs?,were frontloading so by the time i get the report done we will still be ahead of schedule, sorry for droning on,

We had a TB issue with Dr Million. The radiologist wrote a comment on one of our x-rays saying 'slight shading, could be old TB' and then sent them off. We didn't know about it, and they weren't bothered at this end. The next we hear is from DIMIA a couple of weeks later saying we must sign to agree to do a health undertaking upon arrival.
No TB ever had and after asking the Dr what he wrote he suggested nothing at all medically to worry about, but shame as now they want to check themselves. The real problem is that the time to validate on the health undertaking requirement is 6 months NOT 12, so if they do want you to do a health undertaking over there you'll have to enter Aus much earlier than you might have been planning on.

We've also had our medicals with Dr Million, my husband reckons that's what he earns. He was a lovely man. As far as your tb, what ever he advised you, I think if he generally thought you would'nt pass the medical he would have indicated to you. I had to do a further blood test, as I am overweight, and have alot of family history of Stroke, Heart disease, Diabetes. He did the test got the results the next week, said they were ok and packaged everything off to Oz. Its now a waiting game same as you. I understand where your wife's coming from with the worr. Are you doing the migration forms yourself or through a migration agent has the migration aagent not been able to alay any fears. We've also front loaded our medicals. Whats the next stage, does anyone know the time limit.

Here is the page from the DIMA website, explaining what happens with cases of TB.
http://www.immi.gov.au/facts/22health.htm
So long as there in no evidence of active TB then I wouldn't worry.

It depends which Visa you have applied for.
A MODL 136 visa takes around 4 -6 months, a non-MODL 136 visa takes around 6 - 9 months.
Others vary, but MODL are priority.
