Get your phone book out and look for the closest Medicare office. You need to take your passports in with you and they will step you through what you need to do to apply.

Check out http://www.medicareaustralia.gov.au/..._us/mcl/sa.htm for your local one and bring your passport with you!!! May need proof of address too. Can't remember but web site should say.
