My parents wish to emigrate to Oz with us but don't pass the balance of family means test (gutted as they don't see my brothers much). As far as I am aware the only option now left is a temporary retirement visa. If they get a retirement visa what Medicare help will they get? I know they have to have a private insurance (does anybody know costs) but do they get help buying prescription medicines? They both have high blood pressure and need to take tablets daily. Do they have to pay the full cost of the pills or will it be supplemented?
