Default Medicals and Police checks

Has anyone had there medicals and police checks done before being asked by DIMMA? We have recieved a letter telling us our application should be processed in 4 to 6 months. And we are keen to go asap. So we are considering getting them done. Any suggestions?

Yes, we did that, it's called front loading your police and meds.

The only possible problem with doing this is that the visa has to be validated one year from the date of the medical. If you front load your medical too early and you don't get your visa until late then it doesn't give you much of a window to get out there and do the validation before the visas lapse.

You wouldn't want to go through the whole migration proces again :scared:

For Nurses, STNI and partner visas taking the medicals and pccs before request is appropriate. For partner visas the processing can be speeded up significantly by front end loading.

The main thing is that you can get to Australia within a year of the earlier of the checks.
