Once my application goes in I understand I will be asked at some point to supply a Medical and Radiological report. If someone could shed light on the following I would be grateful:

- What are they? HIV test etc..
- Where can I get them & how do you arrange them?
- What would be a reasonable amount to pay?

Hi,

We had our medicals done recently and they cost as follows:

X -ray £50.00 per adult
Blood Test Result £23.00 per adult
Medical including Blood test £50.00 per adult £25 for our child.

The blood test is for HIV, I arrange our medicals myself there is a list
available at www.Gomatilda.com and that will
tell you which doctors they
authorise for the medicals and where to get your X-ray done. We had ours
done at our local hospital in Dorset.

Hi,

We just had our X-rays & medicals at Pinehill Hospital, Hitchin,
Hertfordshire - Dr Nigel Stanley.

Medicals & X-ray £120 per adult, child's medical £40.

This included blood test (HIV also Hep B if you work in the health sector).
We were asked to take along a urine sample & a letter from our GP if we had
any medical history in the last 5yrs that would have an impact on our future
or were on regular medication. 2 adults and 2 children took 1hr in total
including X-ray.

Hi there,

We were sent a letter with the relevant forms requesting medicals and police clearance checks. Enclosed was a list of panel doctors that you can attend. We went to our local one in Dundee and was charged £450 for two adults and two children (both under 5 so they did not need a urinalysis - to check for diabetes etc.) The cost included our xrays which was arranged when we made the docs appointment. All in all everything went ok.
