Default Medicals

I am just about to have a medical and need some advice. I have a rare medical condition that has meant a few trips to the GP over the last few years. As the condition is based around 'flare ups', if I am not having one then I appear completely healthy and would, no doubt, pass my medical assessment no problem. However, should I declare my condition on the form or not as if they delve into it they may not accept me! I am 30 years old but some people with my condition can get very ill (and there is always the possibility i might) so I am worried that coming clean might mean I am not accepted.

Does anyone have any advice???

My 'friend' - ahem , was in a similar situation. My 'friend' read the medical form very carefully and found that his condition was not on the pre-determined list (i.e. kidney, heart problem). Although the condition only raised its head a few months before attending the medical and my friend hadn't been to the hospital up to that point, they were aware that they had a hospital appointment a week after the visa medical. So strictly speaking, no lie was told.

As it all turned out, my 'friend's condition has turned out not to the that major.

The long and short of it is that I'd probably exagerate the truth. My panel doctor said that the medical looks at your health on the day of the medical and to find out if you have Aids, diabetes or any contractable disease like TB.

As long as you're not going to be making weekly visits to Oz hospitals I'd keep it to myself.
