medical / xrays for long stay temp business visa (1066)
can anybody tell me what the process is for this kind of visa.
I understand that only an xray is required when applying overseas but a medical is need as well when you apply in australia.
can anybody tell me if this is correct?

we have just had our x-rays for this visa. the kids had to have meds as they were going into schools but we just had chest x-rays. we were sent a listof pane doctors and just made an app with them. costs £45 for x-rays . Hope this is of some use to you.

Hi Craig969
I'm currently on a Long Term Business Visa known as a 457. I got my visa while I was
in Australia and I didn't need medical.
Depending on the type of work you will be doing you will need a medical. go to
www.immi.gov.au you should be able to find the
information you need.

likewise, when I applied for my 457, all that I had to do was take an in-country
chest Xray for TB, and answer a medical questionairre. pretty simple. Oh, and hand
over some cash for the medical folks. Also, if I remember, this was all contingent
upon a "good" health condition.
