Medical requirements
Hi,
My husband has been offered a fantastic opportunity to work in Sydney. He's been told that the company sort out all the visas etc. He's not had a chance to ask all his questions yet regards our specific circumstances and I'm trying to work out if we'd even get visas issued for our son or whether all this is a waste of everyones time.
We have a 3.5yr old who is deaf. He wears hearing aids (supplied by NHS), uses a radio aid at preschool (supplied by the LEA) and has a reasonable amount of intervention from speach and language therapist and specialist teacher. He is starting mainstream school in September without a statement of SEN, so no additional support apart from the bi-termly visits from the specialist teacher. He will continue to need SALT as and when. He also has significant gastric problems. He is under a team of paeds at both our local hospital and a large childrens hospital. He has 5 prescriptions.
Is he likely to stop us being able to move over to Sydney and my husband to take this job? If he doesn't and we are able to go ahead with this where can I find out the answers to my specific questions regarding his care and education. Things like how much prescriptions cost, will his care be covered by the health care or insurance, will we have to buy hearing aids etc etc.
Thanks for reading.

Re: Medical requirements
a lot of it depends on the visa and it sounds as though yours will be a temporary visa a 457?
on this you have to pay for your childs schooling in NSW try and negotiate that your husbands employer will cover this.
private medical insurance has a 3 year wait for hearing aids
I am a deaf adult so don't know how it works for children sorry
good luck
