medical notes
 
Hi

can anyone tell me what happens to the uk medical notes, do they say here or are they transferred to oz

I believe they stay here and are kept on file for 10 years.

You probably dont really need your UK records unless there is an ongoing problem.

In Oz the doctor does not keep notes like in the UK. You are not registered with a GP, you can pick and choose and change each time you visit.
If you want to take your notes, under the Data Protection Act you are entitled to a copy (do a search - many many threads on this!) - but as said before, unless you have an ongoing condition it probably isn't worth it.
