Default medical cover question

Hello all am after a bit of advice regarding what is best for me and the worse half to do when we get to Aus.
the problem being my wife has a knee problem which she is currently waiting to see a specialist for an mri scan,we are hoping to get that part out the way before we set off but all depends on our wonderful health system,
we were planning to get out to Aus early march time so i was just wondering what kind of medi care/health cover would be best for us to take out as this is a pre existing problem.
if anyone has any info or experience with a problem like this it would be great to hear how you got on.

cheers all

andy

Default Re: medical cover question

If you are presently with BUPA, MBF will accept you "as is" with no waiting period: otherwise there is usually a year for pre-existing complaints.

(Only found the above out after signing up with MBF: got a "handover" letter from BUPA and MBF accepted us with no waiting period. Didn't help much tho' - we've had to spend some $6000 in 12 months on doctors and dentists, none of which is covered......)
