medical costs
I have booked my medicals for 2 weeks time.
The costs:
£90 per adult for medical
£35 per child for medical (toddler)
£18 per adult for blood test
£61 per adult for xray
Total for 2 adults and 1 toddler (20mnths.) £373.
Is it a good deal?
Thanks

We paid the same amount for the meds, however only paid £45 for the xrays and there was no additional charge for the blood tests.
That was West Sussex though!!!

Re: medical costs
Hi
The cost of medicals has been discussed before and in general it seems to be a bit of a mine field!
Appears to depend a lot on what part of the country you are in as to what you pay - our friend has just had them done by a surgery in Plymouth, Devon, (its the nearest one to us living in Cornwall) the cost for 2 adults, 2 teenagers and 1 baby was over £800, doing a quick calculation looks like you have quite a good deal!
Will be looking into the cost for us soon, a family of four, could be interesting as we have no choice but to use same doctor as our friend!
Bottom line is, if you can't 'shop around' you have to pay whatever the cost!!
Good luck from Bix and me
Cheers

I did a bit of ringing around and got these prices
Oxford

postage (at both places) £15
xray John Radcliffe £45
xray Ackland £77
Maidenhead
all at one place £145
postage a whopping £6.50 more
guess where we are going?
