medical in chichester (larrissa)
Hi
I remember a few months back that some of the girls (I think it was Larrissa) from pompey had their medicals done in chichester.
We are eagerly awaiting our tra reply (3 months & 1 week so far!) and want to submitt front loaded visa 139 soon after our tra reply.
Is there a long wait to get a medical & does anyone still have the telephone number.
Finally, do the hospital deal with all of the paper work or do I need to obtain a form to take with me.
many Thanks

Good Morning!
As far as I know you will need to fill out the form before you go to have your medicals. Lots of questions to be answered too much to do on day I should think.
We were able to download them off the internet (Medical and Xray Forms) so were well prepared for ours.
If you contact the medical centre you are thinking of going with they will advise you on this matter I am sure, also give you prices for this 'service'! It seems to vary around the country.

Hi there
We had ours done there last year, details are as follows:
Dr Mallam / Dr Wilson
Westgate Surgery
Chichester
PH. 01243 3782866
I think we had to wait about two or three weeks. They also book the X-ray for you at St Richards Hospital in Chichester.
Good luck

Are you sure you have downloaded them off the internet?? only because you need to request them form the web site and they are posted to you.
They are a self sealing form and unless you have a magic printer that folds the form in the special way and puts glue in the right place I doubt anything you download will be accepted.
Thanks

I think you can download them, but you're right about the folding bit, so I don't know how this works either!!

I've just checked, the only ones you can download are forms 26a and 160a, These are for use in Australia only.
for the Uik you need forms 26 and 160
follow this link for the page telling you about how to get them
http://www.australia.org.uk/vti/HTML/medical.html
follow this link for the panel doctor list for the UK and ROI

Yes I am sure Kala, we filled them out, took them along to medical centre with us, handed them over, they did their bit and hey presto - they then sent them off to relevant DIMIA office and that was it!
However I forgot to say (silly of me I suppose) - it is ONLY possible to download form from the internet for certain types of visa applications - company sponsored 457 being one of them.
Hope this clarifies any confusion

Basically to make clear things up if anyones booklet says that they need form 26 and 160 these must be requested from AHC on this email address [email protected] <[email protected]>
you must supply the following information
The following information should be provided:
name
postal address
the visa type you are applying for
the number of applicants included in the application
the age of each applicant included in the application.

Wish I never bothered to answer this thread now
Should I say 'ignore all my replies'?
Will keep things to myself from now on - learnt my lesson

Hi!
Sorry for taking ages to reply, I don't get much time to surf at the moment. We had a couple of weeks to wait for the appointment, it was on a Friday afternoon and we went to the hospital for the X-rays in the morning.
I think you will need passport size photos for the forms, not completely sure as we did ours when requested... I think it would be one each. I think you need to take your passports too.
It's a bit of a nightmare parking near the surgery - give yourself a good 20 minutes and you will be alright.
Also, if you have any health problems e.g. diabetes, it may help speed things up if you have a letter from your specialist / consultant.
