Medical 4 Oz migration
 

Can one of you kind people point me at a list of medical conditions that are likley to negate or diminish my chances of gaining an Oz Visa? I have an existing chronic condition that I think may well count me out and before I spend money of going through this and setting expectations, I just want to know the bare facts.

My daughter has a chronic condition (arthritis). She passed the medical. The key is that the condition needs to be under control and well managed, not cost a heap to maintain, not be contagious and mustn't use up scarce resources in Oz.

The only condition that automatically excludes you is a current condition of TB. My suggestion is that you do a search on this forum under say "medical conditions" and see what you pull up from previous posters (mine will be there concerning this).

hi fatboy just read your post and ive put 2 and 2 together, does your wife have pr or citizenship already if shes from brissy. if so and you do come up against probs with your medical i am led to belive that under some circumstances if you did fail. the medical can be waiverd on an appeal. i dont know the ins and outs. but it may help if things turned for the worse. but im sure you will be ok, i have read a lot of threads on this forum with people suffering from one thing or another, diebitease, to bronchale asthma, and havent seen anyone moaning they didnt get in due to meds, so im assuming things have to be pretty bad.check out health requirements for perm visas at this site.
